When I use the Layout option from the home page to edit the page, some of the slots where I have added plugins are greyed out and cannot be edited.  Sometimes they are greyed out in one language but not in another.  Can you tell me how to edit those slots?  I assume that I can delete the slot from the Grid master and recreate it.  But there must be a better way.

Hi there There are some things that you can only change on the "Edit" tab, and some things that you can only change on the "Layout" tab. In general, if it's something that will only affect the content item you are looking at then it will be on the "Edit" tab, and if it's something that will affect all of the content items that use that layout then it will be on the "Layout" tab. Some plugins always work the same way, but other plugins (e.g. Banners) can cause a bit of confusion because the system lets you set them up in one of several different combinations:

  • You can place a banner from the plugin library on just one content item. (Go to the "Edit" tab.)
  • You can place a banner from the plugin library on a layout. (Go to the "Layout" tab.)
  • You can place a version-controlled banner on a layout. This gives you a banner that has different text/settings for each content item on that layout. (Go to the "Layout" tab to add it to the layout, then go to the "Edit" tab to make changes.)
