Hello everybody,

When I try to export (users and contacts) an Excel or CSV file, the process is executed, but the files are not physically downloaded to the PC. Version: 7.6.41633

Exporting samplefile works. The browser asks for downloadlocation or direct opening.

How can that be solved?

Hi there TEC

Are there any error messages that might be hidden from you? I wonder if we could get you to try the export again, and then check your error log to see if errors have been recorded.

By the way, having to continously look in the error log is annoying, so we usually set

display_errors = On

in our php.ini files (or at least leave errors on while we're testing an upgrade).

Dear Chris,

I hope you are well!

I have the process repeated and could not find any entries in the log or have received other types of error messages.
# What alternative options are available to complete the export?
# Is this incident fixed with 7.6.42085?

Perhaps the file was saved locally without having activated this?
# Which file name is given by default?
# Which storage path is assigned by default?

In demoversion 7.7 the download is possible.
# When is 7.7 available for non-hosting users?

Best

Hi TEC,

We've been unable to reproduce your problem. Could you give us more detailed information to reproducing this?

  • Browser and version
  • Operating system
  • Exact Steps taken to attempt an export

# Which file name is given by default?

Files are named "Users export" followed by the date e.g.

Users export 2017-09-06.csv

# Which storage path is assigned by default?

Files are output to the browser. The default path for most systems should be the downloads folder.
