I am trying to create a website where there are a number of articles in different categories.  I want to have several Content Summary lists so that a user only sees the articles in a certain category. Here is what I did : Content Items -> Categories and created the different categories.  Then I checked a category and then clicked on "View content items in this category".  It showed that there is no content item in the category.  I clicked on the Create button and entered the information for the content, and then Save.  But when it got back to the "View content items in this category" page it still shows there is no content item in the category.  However, when I went back to the list of "All Content Items" I could see that the item was created. What did I do wrong?

I finally figured it out that I need to enable categories for the HTML Content Type. May I humbly suggest that this is enabled by default or that the there is some kind of warning when trying to create a content item under the Categories tab? Thank you.

Hi Kcpau, Thanks for the suggestion, I think you are not the first person to find this frustrating or puzzling. I think probably we should have the Categories tab be visible whenever you create a content item, even if it says "Categories are disabled for HTML" etc. Note that in 7.2 the content items panels will be re-arranged, they should be rather easier to navigate to, as they will each have their own panel in the 2nd level of Organizer navigation.  So we will think this through in the context of the new system, hopefully that will make it more intuitive. Thanks for the feedback.
